VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

We are a multi-state provider of hospice services is seeking an experienced Vice
President of Operations to assist in leading its multi-state operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Directs the overall operations of multi state business units
• Promotes an environment that fosters creative thinking, problem solving and
empowerment in the development of the business unit teams.
• Responsible for the overall growth of quality and financially viable
rehabilitation programs for a designated area through the establishment of
mutually beneficial partnerships through key success factors such as quality
indicators, census development and revenue enhancement.
• Other duties include but are not limited to the evaluation of new business
opportunities and marketing strategies and their implementation to ensure
optimum growth.
• Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in
compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.
• Establish, implement and evaluate goals and objectives for Hospice services
that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total
organization and philosophy.
• Maintain compliance with all legal rules and regulations.
• Meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market
acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area.
• Manage all expenditures is a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with
the Company’s budget.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a health care related field
• Master's degree is highly preferred
• This position will require substantial travel up to 60%
• Minimum of 10 years experience in healthcare operations management
• 5 years of hospice industry experience a MUST
• Excellent marketing, leadership, management, interpersonal communication and
organizational skills of the caliber required to successfully manage, through
others, both multi-site and multi-state operations.
• A working knowledge of the Medicare/Medicaid hospice benefits.
• Understanding of business processes and systems that support the healthcare
industry.
We currently provide operational, clinical, regulatory, and marketing support
for our Medicare certified hospice agencies extending to 5 states: Nevada,
Arizona, California, Illinois and Iowa.
This position is based at the home office in St. Louis, MO.
This position will report to the President/CEO.
